Call for Submissions: Civil Society’s Achievements Since 2006

The UN Special Rapporteur on the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and of association, Maina Kiai, is calling on civil society to respond to a questionnaire about their accomplishments over the past ten years. Mr. Kiai will highlight positive developments submitted in questionnaires in the Special Rapporteur’s final thematic report to the 35th session of the UN Human Rights Council in June, 2017. Submission guidelines and suggested themes can be found here. The questionnaire is available in English, French and Spanish. Completed questionnaires should be e-mailed to freeassembly@ohchr.org and will be accepted until January 31, 2017.
