The International Center for Not-for-Profit-Law (ICNL), an organization that supports the legal environment of civil society around the world, released their annual 2015-2016 report entitled “Protecting Civic Freedom.” In the report, ICNL highlights their efforts to defend civil society organizations’ (CSOs) right to access resources through policy recommendations produced by the inter-governmental group, Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Since 2013, ICNL has collaborated with the Global Coalition of CSOs to support FATF in crafting policy suggestions on civil society-related issues, such as over-regulation or counter-terrorism policies.
