Today, there are over one million political prisoners worldwide. This number is only growing as authoritarian leaders are increasingly arresting and detaining activists and other voices of dissent. To advocate more effectively for the release of political prisoners, the World Liberty Congress has developed this handbook, compiling resources, strategies, and testimonies from political prisoners, family members, lawyers, activists, and experts from diverse fields, to support and free political prisoners. Although each struggle is unique, the principles and strategies presented in the handbook are universal and can be adapted to any context.
