Isatou Touray is the Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment in The Gambia. She is also the executive director and co-founder of the Gambia Committee on Traditional Practices Affecting the Health of Women and Children. In 2016, she became the first woman to run for the Presidency in The Gambia. Touray, who has a long, distinguished career in grassroots activism, founded the Gender Unit of the Management Development Institute, an educational institute in The Gambia, focusing on management training and research.
