Vladimir Kara-Murza coordinates Open Russia, a platform for civil society activists, and is a member of the federal council of the People’s Freedom Party and “Solidarity,” a democratic movement. He has been published in the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times, authored a book entitled Reform or Revolution, and was nearly poisoned to death on two occasions for promoting greater freedom in Russia.
